The APX™ Transportable Station is a highly versatile, lightweight, rugged, rapid deployment product. It can be deployed as a temporary base station (law enforcement command posts, military deployment, surveillance operations, emergency response teams, fire fighting support). It can also be installed in vehicles when mobile installation without permanent installation is a requirement (rental car) or when mobile covert communication is desired.

The unit is packaged in a lightweight, horizontal, black powder coated, lockable aluminum suitcase. This product provides customers with the versatility of a “Jump and Run” communications package and the flexibility of a semi-fixed or transportable RF station.

It utilizes a standard mid-power APX 7500/6500/4500 mobile, O2/O3/O5/O7 control head, mobile antenna  and a mobile speaker (all ordered separately). Two RF ports are available to support dual band. Audio ports are also available for headset, headphone and record operation. Record operation is only supported on the O3 CH configuration.

The APX Transportable Station operates with 110/220VAC or 12VDC power input. The suitcase is equipped with a “mouse-hole” exit for cable routing outside the case, allowing for covert closed case operation.

NOTE: For the O2 CH configuration the speaker cable between the transceiver and the control head must be detached during installation.
